Okla. transportation panel to mull railroad plan

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An eight-year plan to improve Oklahoma's state-owned railroad infrastructure is among the items that will be considered by the Department of Transportation during its regular meeting.

The eight-member, governor-appointed panel meets Monday for its monthly meeting in Oklahoma City.

The board is expected to approve ODOT's eight-year plan for construction and maintenance of state-owned railroad tracks and bridges across the state.

The board also is expected to be briefed on the department's efforts to treat and clear state highways during the winter storm on Christmas Day that dumped snow and wintry precipitation across the state.

The commission also is expected to vote on a cost-sharing agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to replace the State Highway 151 bridge over the Lake Keystone Dam in Tulsa County.
