Oklahoma Labor Day Traffic Advisory

OKLAHOMA (ODOT) -- The following construction projects are weather permitting, and will impact travel on major highways over the Labor Day holiday from Friday, August 31 to Monday, September 3. For turnpike information call the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority at 405-425-3600 or pikepass.com.

Statewide:

I-40 narrowed near Erick, Beckham County
I-40 is narrowed to one lane in each direction from approximately 3 miles east of the Texas/Oklahoma state line to just east of SH-30 near Erick.

I-40 narrowed near Henryetta, Okmulgee and Okfuskee Counties
I-40 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between US-75 in Okfuskee County and I-40B in Henryetta.

I-35 narrowed near Braman, Kay Co.
I-35 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between US-177 near Braman and the Kansas/Oklahoma state line.

I-35 narrowed near Perry, Noble Co.
I-35 is narrowed to one lane in each direction from approximately 4 miles south US-412 to 4 miles north of US-412 near Perry.

I-35 narrowed at US-64 in Perry, Noble Co.
I-35 is narrowed to one lane in each direction at US-64 (Fir St.) in Perry.

I-35 narrowed, lanes shifted in Marietta, Love Co.
I-35 is narrowed to one lane in both directions at SH-32 in Marietta (Exit 15). Drivers should expect heavy traffic during peak travel hours and are encouraged to use US-77 as an alternate route.

US-177 narrowed at US-60 in Tonkawa, Kay Co.
US-177 is narrowed to one lane in each direction at US-60 in Tonkawa.

US-69 narrowed in Muskogee, Muskogee Co.
Southbound US-69 is narrowed to one lane between the Arkansas River bridge and US-62 (Shawnee Bypass) in Muskogee.

US-69 narrowed at SH-150 near Eufaula, McIntosh Co.
US-69 is narrowed to one lane in each direction at SH-150 north of Eufaula.

US-69 narrowed, traffic shifted near Atoka, Atoka Co.
US-69 is narrowed to one lane in each direction 6 miles north of SH-7 near Atoka.

US-69/US-75 narrowed near Caddo, Bryan Co.
Southbound US-69/US-75 is narrowed to one lane between SH-22 in Caddo and US-69B in Armstrong north of Durant.

US-270 narrowed, traffic shifted near Watonga, Blaine Co.
US-270 is narrowed to one lane in each direction and traffic is shifted at the Canadian River bridge approximately 2 miles west of Watonga.

US-60 narrowed near Vinita, Craig Co.
US-60 is narrowed to one lane in each direction 4 miles east of SH-66 near Vinita.

Oklahoma City Metro:

I-240 narrows near Del City Friday night
Westbound I-240 will be narrowed to one lane between Douglas Blvd. and Sooner Rd. from 7 p.m. Friday to
6 a.m. Saturday.

I-40 narrowed in Canadian Co.
The left lane of eastbound I-40 is closed from US-270 near Calumet to US-81 near El Reno daily from 7 a.m. to
7 p.m.

US-81 narrowed near El Reno, Canadian Co.
North and southbound US-81 will be narrowed to one lane between I-40 and S.W. 29th St. in El Reno daily from
7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

US-64/SH-51 (Broken Arrow Expressway) – lanes narrowed near Yale Ave.
Eastbound US-64/SH-51 is narrowed to one open lane of traffic from near Yale Ave. and Sheridan Rd. until further notice. Expect significant delays; locate alternate route if possible.

I-244/US-169 corridor – lane and ramp closures
Lanes are narrowed, down to one open lane in some locations, on east and westbound I-244 from near Sheridan Rd. to the I-244/I-44 junction (western split.)for a pavement reconstruction project. Expect significant delays in this corridor, especially during peak travel times. Locate an alternate route if possible.
Ramp closures include:
· The northbound US-169 ramp to westbound I-244 is narrowed to one lane until further notice.
· The southbound US-169 off-ramp to eastbound I-244 until further notice; use the eastbound I-44 off-ramp as an alternate route.

I-244 ramp to US-75 closed (NE corner of the Inner Dispersal Loop)
The westbound I-244 off-ramp to southbound US-75 (NE corner of the Inner Dispersal Loop) is closed for a bridge rehabilitation project. Westbound I-244 traffic will follow the north and west legs of the IDL for access to southbound US-75 or eastbound US-64/SH-51.

I-244/Arkansas bridge replacement project
Continued closures until further notice include:
· Westbound US-64/SH-51 off-ramp to eastbound I-244/westbound US-64/SH-51 (south to west leg IDL)
· Southbound US-75/westbound US-64/SH-51 off-ramp to westbound I-244/southbound US-75
· Eastbound I-244 on-ramp from 17th St., and various lane closures on 17th St.
· Westbound I-244 on-ramp from 7th St.

US-75 narrowed, ramps closed near 201st St. South for bridge replacement project
· North and southbound US-75 is narrowed to one lane of traffic in each direction near 201st St. South (at South Duck Creek, south of Glenpool) until further notice.
· No access to or from US-75 at 201st St.; US-75 traffic is directed to use 181st St. or 221st St.
