ANNA, TX -- Authorities say texting and driving turned deadly on an Anna highway Satuday morning.
Anna police say around 8:30, 26-year-old Jonathan Dorman was driving a black Chrysler north on State Highway 121 when he crossed over into the southbound lane.
Police say he hit a Honda head-on that was driven by 43-year-old Steve Clayton of Savoy.
The crash happened just south of FM 455.
Officers say Clayton died. Dorman was flown to a Dallas hospital in critical condition.
Police say this is the 4th fatal accident that's happened on this stretch of highway this year.
"It's just a deadly roadway. And texting was involved in this one. We know that 100 percent. And we are also investigating right now whether alcohol was involved. There's a potential alcohol was involved," Sergeant Jeff Caponera said.
The highway was shut down for about 8 hours. It's since re-opened.
