Roads will remain treacherous from snow and sleet until mid-day, when sunshine shroud melt most of it away. Snow is likely to remain on the ground until Friday.
PONTOTOC COUNTY, OK -- A house caught on fire early Wednesday morning leaving one man dead.
According to the Ada Fire Department, both Ada Fire Department and Byng Volunteer fire department responded to a house fire that happened around 5:30 am.
The house was located in the Woodbrook community just northeast of Ada. It has not yet been determined what may have caused the fire.
The Pontotoc County Sheriff Department said resident, Curtis Hughey, was still inside the burning house. Deputy Tyler Mackey was the first to arrive at the scene, but Hughey already died by the time he pulled him out of the house. The house is ruled as a total loss.
