SHERMAN, TX -- A free way to make sure your kids stay safe is coming to Sherman this weekend.

Operation KidSafe is a national organization that gives fingerprints to parents.

So if something were to go wrong, parents would have something to give to police to Help them track their children down.

Operation KidSafe will be in Sherman at Ramey Chevrolet Cadillac this Friday from 1 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 am to 4 p.m..

"The most important thing believe it or not is prevention on education and we provide that to the parents to at least get them started on putting together a family action plan," said Mark Bott, Founder of Operation KidSafe.

The event is free and open to the public.
