Planned Parenthood in Sherman closes

Sherman, Texas -- Planned Parenthood in Sherman closed their doors for the last time Wednesday.

The health center was closed because there were not enough patients to support keeping it open. Today, the Sherman clinic was only giving out prescription refills. Planned Parenthood of North Texas sent letters to patients with referrals to other sites. All records are electronic and will be transferred to one of the 23 sites still open across North Texas. This afternoon, employees were referring people to their McKinney location. Planned Parenthood In Gainesville will also shut down August 29th.
