SHERMAN, TX -- A nationally acclaimed playwright debuts his newest version of his hit play in Texoma.
David Marquis returns to his alma mater, Austin College, to present "I am a Teacher, Part three."
The play is a one-man show, centered around a history teacher who shows his students the importance of history, and who also supports them through personal issues.
Marquis took his own experiences as a teacher and put them into this play. He says he wants to show current teachers that it is important not to let the "glow of your students eyes go out."
The debut performance was Thursday night at the Ida Green Theater at Austin College.
