DENISON, TX - Denison Police are searching for a man they believe tried to rob a drug store Wednesday morning.

Chief Jay Bruce tells us a tall, thin, white man wearing sunglasses and a hoodie displayed a handgun and demanded drugs at the Med Choice Pharmacy in the 2300 block of West Morton Street around 8:45 a.m. When a store employee set off a panic alarm, the man fled the store without taking anything, got in what's believed to be an older model 2-door gray Mercedes, and drove away south from the location.

No one was injured in the robbery attempt, and police say they are still searching for the suspect. Area law enforcement agencies were notified of the attempt. Denison PD investigators responded to the crime scene and are working the case Wednesday morning.

Anyone with knowledge or information of this or any other crime in the city is asked to contact the Denison Police Department at 903-465-2422 and ask for Investigations.
