Police ask for publics help on murder investigation

SHERMAN, TX-- The Sherman Police Department said they have several leads in a year old murder case.

It's been almost 18 months since Adriella Leggins was found dead in her apartment.

Investigators said they can't release details of how she died, because there is certain information that would jeopardize their case. And they're hoping those details will lead them to their suspect.

The 24-year-old, Louisiana native, was found dead in her Lakewood Apartment off of FM 1417. Police said she was pregnant.

They explained they do have a persons of interest and new DNA evidence will assist them in identifying the suspect. But they're are still asking for the public's help.

They believe a small number of people know what happened and there is a reward for those who help solve the mystery.

"We believe that there are persons likely that will have information that will assist us," explained, Sherman Police, Lt. Steve Ayers. "We also like to put out and let people know, that there is a $5,000 reward for information that may assist us in the arrest and conviction of a suspect."
