GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- A local man is in jail after investigators found $19,000 dollars in drugs at his home, just 1500 feet from Pottsboro High School.
Steven Rosenbaum, 48, was arrested after Grayson deputies say they discovered about five pounds of marijuana at his home on the 100 block of Chrissa Drive. Authorities say the marijuana appears to be home grown and packaged for sale. They say they also found a gram of methamphetamine in Rosenbaum's vehicle.
Rosenbaum is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.
"It may be something we don't find very often, but its definitely one thing that we don't find in nicer neighborhoods here in Grayson County," Sgt. Rickey Wheeler, with the Grayson County Sheriff's Office, said.
Rosenbaum is being held in the Grayson County Jail on a $15,000 dollar bond.
Sgt. Wheeler says Rosenbaum told them he has cancer and that the marijuana was used for medical purposes.
