SHERMAN, TX -- Power has been restored to several neighborhoods in Sherman after a truck hit a electrical guard line Tuesday morning.

The driver fled the scene but is now in custody.

The accident occurred around 3 am on south Travis Street.

Officers at the scene Tuesday morning said the driver was traveling south bound when the vehicle hit a guard line, that then twisted around a power line.

Officers say the driver fled the scene, but I just spoke with them and they said the driver has been found. Still no idea on who yet though.

They said the driver can get in trouble for fleeing, but how much, that is still unsure. They are investigating into the matter.
