Pursuit damages patrol car

POTTSBORO, TX -- A police chase leaves one police vehicle with extensive damage in Pottsboro Thursday morning.

Pottsboro police say about 5:30 Thursday morning, an officer began to follow a vehicle travelling at a high speed.

The suspect drove into the Brookshires parking lot, which is still under construction. Police say the suspect reversed into the driver side door of the squad truck.

The suspect then fled in the car, got stuck in a ditch, and ran on foot. Officers found stolen property in the suspect's car.

Police say they've identified the driver, but he's not in custody. No one was injured in this incident. The investigation is still ongoing.
