A Reno family's home went up in flames yesterday afternoon, sending multiple fire departments to the scene.
The Reno Volunteer Fire Department is investigating a fire that happened off Jamar Road yesterday evening. The call was received around 5 from someone driving through Reno. Reno, Paris and several other neighboring fire departments arrived to house on Jamar Road, taking around 5 hours to put out the fire. No one was home, in fact a resident took his daughter to go get some food and moments after leaving he received a call that the house was on fire. The family did have a one loss though, their wiener dog, did not make it and fireman found his body outside the daughters bedroom door.
The house is a total loss and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
