Reward offered in unsolved Johnston Co. murder

TISHOMINGO, OK - Authorities are now offering a reward for information related to an unsolved murder in Johnston County.

OSBI said they will pay up to $10,000 for tips in the brutal murder of
66-year-old Carol Mowrer.

Last October, Mowrer was killed inside her home at 6409 W. Lake Estates near Tishomingo.

It was ruled she died of lacerations to her neck.

Officials said two small safes are missing from Mowrers home as well as a custom made emerald pendant.

One is a SentrySafe Fire Safe model 1100 BK. The second is much like model 1170.

Mowrer stored her prescription drugs in one safe and valuables in the other.
