Denison, Texas -- A historic downtown Denison building is being brought back to life thanks to a local family.

Earlier today -- Greg and Garrett Guymon (of denison closed on the old Rialto theatre -- and they will be working around the clock for the next few months to get it ready for Texomans to enjoy.

They said they will still show movies on the big screen -- but they also want to bring in local and nationally known bands of all genres.
They also hope to get a cruising club on Main Street with various antique cars -- and bring in karokee and possibly turn the building into a dinner theater.
But most importantly -- the new owners say the re-opening of the theater will bring a needed boost to downtown Denison's economy.

"Just being able to get foot traffic down here and spawing all types of news businesses..even as we speak we've purchased this building but even next door and on this block we have other businesses moving in, so its going to be good ," said Rialto's new owner Greg Guymon.
