CARTWRIGHT,OK -- A search continues for a teen who may have drowned at Lake Texoma.
Sunday evening, OHP, the Army Corps of Engineers and other local authorities all received a call, that a 19-year old man had possibly drowned at Lake Texoma, near Cartwright, near the Willafa Woods community.
Since then several agencies have combined their efforts to search for the missing teen; so far to no avail.
"Every incident is different The conditions are different; he water conditions are different," said Lake Manager Joe Custer.
Army Corps of Engineers Lake Manager Joe Custer says lake patrolmen were immediately called in last night to search for the young man.
He says even though it's been nearly a day and the teen hasn't been found the search will not stop.
"There's no hard and fast rule to know when we will give up on a search, and we will typically stay with them until they are located, period," said Custer.
The 19 year-old's identity has not been released, but we were able to speak to a relative off camera who says the teen was not a good swimmer.
The family member says the teen had been hanging with some friends, when he slipped under the water somehow and his friends we're unable to rescue him.
