2nd suspect arrested in attempted theft of Sherman scrap yard

SHERMAN, TX - A second suspect involved with an attempted theft at Stinky's Scrap Metal has been arrested.

Lt. Rickey Wheeler tells us Grayson County Sheriff's Office investigators arrested 31-year-old Jamel McClelland Fowler on Thursday at a home in Farmersville, Texas.

Fowler is now in the Collin County Jail. His bond has been set at $20,000.

The Grayson County Sheriff's Office says that during their attempt to steal scrap metal, the other suspect, 41-year-old Shannon Sides, was shot in the leg by an employee. Sides died last week from his injuries.
