OKLAHOMA -- U.S. lawmakers are now getting involved in the efforts to conserve water at Lake Texoma.

Senator Jim Inhofe sent a letter to the Corp and the Department of Energy Southwestern Power Administration, or SWPA, requesting a briefing on current water levels at Lake Texoma, various demands on the water supply, and any conservation steps the Corps and SWPA are taking to ensure all obligations can be met.

They are scheduling a meeting in early March.
