SHERMAN, TEXAS -- The Sherman police department is hiring.
The police force is now accepting applications to fill three entry-level officer positions.
Special police training and certification is not required, but is a plus. However, there is a list of minimum requirements, like being between the ages of 21 and 44 and having a GED or high school diploma, among other things.
"You don't need somebody that's overly aggressive, you need somebody that can think quick on their feet, can be patient, but that's not afraid to, you know, there's going to be a time and a place when you're going to have to use force," Sgt. D.M. Hampton said.
