Sherman man indicted for wife's murder

SHERMAN, TX - A Sherman man who police say shot and killed his wife in their home last year has been indicted for murder.

A Grayson County grand jury indicted 64-year-old Candelario Luna Wednesday.

Police say Luna shot his wife 59-year-old Maria Luisa Sanchez several times inside their Sherman home on South Willow Street in late November.

They arrested him at a nearby convenience store a short time later.

He remains in the Grayson County Jail on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer meaning he can't bond out.

If convicted Luna faces 5 to 99 years in prison.
