Sherman woman arrested for biting a police officer

SHERMAN, TX -- A Sherman woman was arrested after police say she cut two people with a razor blade and bit an officer.

Sherman police responded to the 700 block of Throckmorton Friday afternoon, after a man and woman say they were assaulted with a sharp object while sitting in their car.

They said, 26-year-old, Fanchon Wimbish cut both of them in the face before they were able to get away.

An officer located Wimbish on the 400 block of Crockett Street.

While trying to detain her the officer said he was bitten - causing puncture wounds his upper arm.

Wimbish is now being held in the Grayson County jail on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest and assaulting a public servant.
