SHERMAN, TX - Sherman Police are asking for your help to identify a man they think is passing counterfeit money all over Texoma.

The suspect was caught on surveillance video at the Exxon Lone Star in Sherman at. U.S. 75 and U.S. 82. With the help of the Secret Service they learned several dollar bills with the same serial number had been passed in Dallas and in Oklahoma.

"With the scanner technology today, they've scanned a $20 bill, that's why there is matching serial numbers, and then they're passing them off as real money. What they'll do is make a small purchase, pay with the 20, and then get change and get real money," Sherman Police Sgt. Bruce Dawsey says.

If you have any information, you're urged to contact Sherman Police at 903-892-7290
