SHERMAN, TX -- After several days of construction, a heavily traveled Sherman road is back open.

City officials say the heavy rain Wednesday caused a sewer line under West Lamberth Street to collapse.

The 700, 800, and 900 blocks had to be barricaded off, and the road shut down.

Crews have been working to fix the line and are now in the process of repaving the road.

Officials say crews will repair the curb and gutter next week.
