SHERMAN, TEXAS -- Bringing new jobs to the area is priority number one for the new president of the Sherman Economic Delopment Corporation.

Scott Connell was introduced at tonight's city council meeting. He has 25 years of experience in economic development, and plans to start his new job with SEDCO on the 15th.

Connell says the city is already home to some strong national and international companies, and the key to helping the city grow is by building on those businesses.

"It's a great market to tell the story. We're to really bring some industry and new jobs to the area so it's an exciting time," Connell said.
