Silo Jr. High baseball coach arrested

SILO, OK -- A junior high baseball coach at Silo Public School has been arrested on 7 felony counts of injuries to a child.

According to an arrest affidavit, Roy West was arraigned Tuesday in Bryan County court.

He allegedly struck a child in the back, legs, arms, or torso for quote "inadequate performance".

The Sheriffs Office began an investigation in April after parents came forward about the alleged abuse.

West has since bonded out of jail.

He is still on administrative leave.
