Wednesday and Thursday are Weather Aware days due to the potential for locally heavy rainfall. Beware of flooded road-ways and never drive around barricades or into water more than six inches deep. High rainfall rates may reduce visibility and also increase the risk of hydroplaning. Turn around, don’t drown! Isolated strong thunderstorms may develop late Wednesday afternoon, but widespread severe weather does not appear to be likely at this time.
SHERMAN, TX - A driver suffered minor injuries Wednesday afternoon when her car dropped into a sink hole on Texoma Parkway.
Sherman police say around 4 p.m. a woman in her sixties ran off the road into the hole, which is about 10 feet wide and 2 to 3 feet deep. They say the pavement caved in due to construction along the roadway near Midway Mall.
The woman was taken to TMC with minor injuries.
