Stephens County judge rules man competent to stand trail for murder

STEPHENS COUNTY, OK -- A Stephens County judge has found Miles Bench competent to stand trial.

Bench is charged with first degree murder in the death of 16-year-old Braylee Henry.

The Velma teenager was killed June 6th of last year after she went into a convenience store where Bench worked as a clerk.

A few hours later, Henry's body was found along a rural road.

Bench was found 130 miles away, driving Henry's car.

Formal arraignment is set for September 5th.
