Sulphur Springs building collapses

SULPHUR SPRINGS, TX-- Employees at a Sulphur Springs accounting firm were able to escape unharmed after their nearly 100 year old building collapsed Tuesday.

City manager Marc Maxwell tells News 12 the roof of the Keith Bland CPA office in downtown Sulphur Springs collapsed around 2 P.M. Three people were inside the building, but they made it out safely.

A structural engineer inspected the building, but a cause of the collapse has yet to be determined. Maxwell says the remainder of the building will be torn down.
