PARIS, TX-- A vacant house fire Monday afternoon is being investigated as a possible arson.
The Paris Fire Department responded to the blaze around 4 P.M. in the 300 block of NW 3rd Street.
Fire Marshal, Dale Maberry, says the house was 50 percent engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but officials believe it's arson. Maberry says three firemen were treated at the scene for heat exhaustion.
Officials say the house is a total loss.
