TAPS adding its largest park and ride facility yet

SHERMAN, TEXAS -- TAPS is moving forward with building what's expected to be its largest park and ride facility yet.

The city of Sherman has issued construction permits for a 2,600 square foot pick up station at Midway Mall.

It is expected to include a waiting area, access to route and schedule information and more than 300 parking spaces for riders.

TAPS CEO Brad Underwood says they've seen ridership more than triple on their new Red River route between Texas and Oklahoma since its launch in October.

Underwood says the new park and ride facility should open mid-March.
