Two upper level waves will interact with a warm and very moist air mass to generate thunderstorms through Saturday. Lightning and torrential rainfall that could cause flash flooding are the primary threats...with a secondary threat of damaging winds. Turn around, don't drown!
McKINNEY & SHERMAN, TEXAS -- TAPS may soon be acquiring routes in Collin County, merging with the Collin County Area Regional Transit service.
Some Collin County commissioners are looking to name TAPS as its rural transportation provider.
If that merge did happen, TAPS Director Brad Underwood says residents as far north as Bryan County could take a TAPS bus down as far south as Plano.
According to Underwood, "The whole idea of having a continuous system from Bryan County all the way to Collin County would absolutely add a lot of accessibility for riders, commuters, education and access to medical and employment."
Underwood says this merge is in the preliminary stages and it would take approval from county commissioners and McKinney city council members to pass.
