TASB consultant reviews Paris ISD staff levels

PARIS, Texas - Recently a contract consultant with the Texas Association of School Boards presented a staffing review to the Paris school board.

Superintendent Paul Jones says the study showed the support staff is overstaffed, while areas like special education and maintenance are understaffed. The study compares Paris ISD to the state average as well as five similar districts.

Jones says there are no plans to fire employees, but they do plan to eliminate positions over the next two to three years as employees leave.
