TCOG works to lessen COPD and smoking statistics in Texoma

By  |

SHERMAN, TEXAS -- According to the Texoma Council of Governments, Texoma has more cases of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, than the state and national average.

TCOG is applying for a more than $800,000 federal grant to hopefully lessen that statistic.

The grant money would help TCOG partner with local hospitals and medical centers to minimize smoking and lung disease in Texoma.
