Teenager crashes into Atoka police cars

ATOKA, OK-- Atoka police said a teenager claims he blacked out, before ramming two police cars this weekend.

Atoka police said around 1:00 Sunday Morning, they got a call about a fight at a home near Hickory and Liberty Streets. A young woman at the home said a man had hit her.

Officers said when she pointed him out, he jumped into another partygoer's car and floored it.

"My partner had showed up behind me and he seen him coming and he didn't want him to get around me so he pulled over on the side," explained, Officer Kevin Martin. "As he pulled over on the side, the person backed up and put it in drive, and thought he was going to ram me again but he turned and rammed my partner. Took out two patrol cars."

After crashing into two police cars, he then got out and ran. Atoka police chased him down. Police said the 16-year-old is charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer, unauthorized use of a vehicle, as well as aggravated assault on the woman.
