Wednesday and Thursday are Weather Aware days due to the potential for locally heavy rainfall. Beware of flooded road-ways and never drive around barricades or into water more than six inches deep. High rainfall rates may reduce visibility and also increase the risk of hydroplaning. Turn around, don’t drown! Isolated strong thunderstorms may develop late Wednesday afternoon, but widespread severe weather does not appear to be likely at this time.
MCCURTAIN COUNTY, OK -- A Texarkana man has drowned in McCurtain County.
OHP Troopers say 26-year-old Eric Wayne Fant jumped off a bridge into Mount Fork River and never resurfaced.
The drowning happened after 3:00 P.M. near U.S 70, 1.5 miles west of Eagletown.
Troopers say Fant's body was recovered by Broken Bow Fire and Rescue.
Authorities say Fant wasn't wearing a life jacket.
