Texoma Council of Governments to get $100,000 for new aging, disability resource center

SHERMAN, Texas -- The Texoma Council of Governments announced Thursday it will receive $100,000 to go toward a new aging and disability resource center for seniors.

TCOG, according to its website, "is a voluntary association of local governments in Cooke, Fannin, and Grayson Counties that works directly with citizens and local jurisdictions to improve and advance economic vitality and quality of life in Texoma."

The new center will provide information on health and long-term care to older adults, those with disabilities, their caregivers and families.
