Texoma Super Storm Sandy relief aid

SHERMAN, TX -- A Sherman church is doing it's part to help with Super Storm Sandy relief, and they hope local residents will too.

Members of the Fairview Baptist Church have a trailer parked outside the Sherman Harley Davidson store. They're collecting toiletry items like hair brushes, shampoo and toilet paper.

They're also collecting coats at the church, located at 222 West Taylor Street. You can drop off donations at either location every day until next wednesday.

"We were watching the news after the storm and they were talking about the millions of people who don't have anything. And you just sit back and realize how thankful we are, and how much we have and they have nothing," relief organizer Russell Smith said.

Two church members will head out to deliver the items next Thursday.
