Texoma man dies of West Nile Virus

CARTER COUNTY, OK -- The West Nile Virus has claimed the life of a Carter County man.

A Mercy Hospital representative says 77-year old Bill Brady of Healdton died Thursday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Brady is the 4th person in Oklahoma to have died from the virus this year.

Family members say Brady learned he had the virus just a few weeks back. His son Mike Brady tells us his father was an avid outdoors man whose passion was working on his ranch.

Family members say dealing with the West Nile Virus first-hand has been life changing, and asks everyone to protect themselves and wear bug spray with DEET.
