OKLAHOMA -- Thanksgiving is just days away, and OHP wants to make sure you're safe this holiday.

OHP recommends having a designated driver if alcohol is at your holiday party.

They say to keep a close eye on the side effects of medication, to make sure it doesn't cause sleepiness, dizziness, or impaired reaction time.

Troopers also advise you to make sure all children are in age-appropriate car seats and everyone is buckled up.

They advise all drivers to put away cell phones and electronic equipment.
