Three people injured in two Hwy 75 Van Alstyne accidents

VAN ALSTYNE, TX -- Three people were taken to the hospital after two separate accidents on Highway 75 in Van Alstyne Saturday afternoon.

Just before 4 o'clock, police say a woman was driving south when a tire on the SUV she was in blew out causing the vehicle to lose control and roll several times. Officers say the vehicle then caught fire sending smoke across the roadway causing a two-vehicle accident. Police say the woman in the SUV and two people involved in the secondary accident were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
