TISHOMINGO, OK -- The City of Tishomingo remains under a boil order, but that is not keeping schools from opening Monday.
Superintendent Kevin Duncan says they have been working closely with the state health department and have taken all necessary precautions. He says students will have pre-packaged meals and plenty of bottled water. He says that the water to faucets and fountains have been shut off.
Friday E.Coli was found in one of the city's water lines. Residents are asked to drink bottled water, or boil city water for at least 30 minutes before consumption.
The city expects to have results from widespread testing back by Monday, if not sooner.
