BENNINGTON, OK-- A Bryan County road is undergoing repairs thanks to the arrival of outside funds.
A few years ago, Jackson Road in Bennington was re-surfaced, but Bryan County Commissioner Jay Perry says damage occurred last year during an 8-month span when TransCanada installed the Keystone Pipeline.
For months the county was expecting reimbursement for damages and just recently received nearly half a million dollars.
Perry says its difficult to fix damaged roads with their budget.
Old Caddo Highway is the next to be repaired.
The county will use a $1.5 million dollar federal grant for that project.
