FANNIN CO., TX -- The trial date has been pushed back for the former Bonham day care owner accused of sexually assaulting children.

The jury trial for 54-year-old John Karl Duncan was supposed to begin Monday but is now expected to start on July 14th.

Fannin County District Attorney Richard Glaser says the defense made a motion to continue the trial and the prosecution did not oppose.

Duncan has been charged with 5 felonies including aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Duncan owned Angel Safe Childcare in Bonham until it was shut down and he was arrested in May.
