TISHOMINGO, OK - One of two people charged in the rape and murder of a Johnston County teacher last year was in court Monday.

Prosecutors say 24-year-old Roy Zornes raped and murdered 60-year-old Jane Bullard and then set fire to her home near Ravia last March.

19-year-old Angel Cassa is also charged in the case. She is due back in court next month. Another man, 42-year-old James Baker, was also initially charged, but the case was thrown out due to "evidentiary issues."

The District Attorney's Office tells us they expect their case against Zornes to go to before a jury soon.
