Truck catches fire on Hwy 75

SHERMAN, TX -- Traffic was backed up for miles on Highway 75 in Sherman Monday after a vehicle caught fire.

Authorities say a group of McKinney residents were returning home from a camping trip on Lake Texoma. when they noticed a fire in the bed of the truck.

Fire Officials say the pickup was carrying camping supplies - including wood and lighter fluid.

They believe the fire started when these items accidentally mixed together.

Officials say the driver pulled over after she saw a futon in the bed of the truck was on fire.

Officials say no one was injured.
