2 arrested in southern Okla. convenience store robberies

ARDMORE, OK -- Two men are now in jail after allegedly robbing two convenience stores Sunday afternoon.

According to Ardmore Police, 19-year-old Zachary Walker, and 18-year-old Jeremiah Day, were arrested for armed robbery and possession of stolen property following the robbery of Lazy Man's corner convenience store in Marietta, and Rockford C Mart in Ardmore.

Police say with the help of OHP, the two men were caught before 12:30 PM Sunday afternoon, within 5 minutes of one of the robberies.

Police recovered the stolen cash and a handgun that had been reported stolen a few months ago.

The suspects remain in the Carter County jail.
