Two people in custody for attempted armed robbery

DURANT, OK -- According to the Durant Police Department two suspects are in custody after an attempted armed robbery Saturday night.

Eighteen-year-old Jordan Scott Bradley has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and a minor was also arrested on the same charges and is being held in Juvenile detention.

Investigators say the two tried to rob Jerry's Drive Through on the 1300 block of 1st Street just before 6 o'clock.

Detective Brian Chavez says Bradley and the minor tried to make a get way in a red car ,but were caught a short time later traveling east on Highway 70.

"It was just a matter of minutes. As soon as it was broadcast the Oklahoma highway patrol had seen the vehicle and then conducted a traffic stop," Chavez said.

Officers say no one was hurt and nothing was taken at the store.
