PARIS, TX-- Residents came out to Paris Junior College Wednesday night to give their input and learn more about how TxDOT funds transportation.
At the public meeting, residents took a survey asking questions like where they think money should be spent, and giving input towards the development of the TTP 2040 – the state’s multimodal, long-range transportation plan.
Paris District Engineer, Paul Montgomery, says this is a way to show residents the process TxDOT goes through to fund projects.
"This is just getting input from local officials and members of the public on what their thoughts our future transportation plans should be," said Montgomery.
This was the 9th out of 25 meetings TxDOT is holding across Texas this summer. Their next meeting is Thursday, June 26th, in Tyler.
