PARIS, TX-- A Paris home is a total loss after it went up in flames early Sunday morning.
It happened just after 1 A.M. in the 300 block of Northeast 17th Street.
Fire Marshal Dale Maberry says, when fire crews arrived the vacant home was fully engulfed in flames. He says crews had to protect surrounding homes due to the size of the fire, and large amount of embers.
A firefighter suffered a minor injury while battling the blaze. Nearby neighbors say they've seen people going in and out of the home in the past.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Emergency crews were on scene about five hours.
