Wednesday and Thursday are Weather Aware days due to the potential for locally heavy rainfall. Beware of flooded road-ways and never drive around barricades or into water more than six inches deep. High rainfall rates may reduce visibility and also increase the risk of hydroplaning. Turn around, don’t drown! Isolated strong thunderstorms may develop late Wednesday afternoon, but widespread severe weather does not appear to be likely at this time.
SHERMAN, TX -- The existing pavement on FM 1417 just North of FM 691 will be widened to accommodate turn lanes.
The agency is planning the construction of a continuous two way left turn lane on FM 1417 from Refuge Road to Highview Road in Grayson County.
The contractor will begin placing project signs Monday.
One lane closures within the work zone will be in place at various times.
The project is expected to be finished by June 5th.
